A diferencia de un disyuntor tradicional, el AFCI est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para diferenciar entre un arco inofensivo (por ejemplo, al encender un interruptor o usar un motor) y uno potencialmente peligroso que puede poner en riesgo la instalaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"213\" data-end=\"820\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">En los pa\u00edses desarrollados, las fallas de arco est\u00e1n consideradas entre las <strong data-start=\"929\" data-end=\"989\">principales causas de incendios el\u00e9ctricos en zonas residenciales y en sistemas de generaci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica acoplados a la red p\u00fablica<\/strong>. Solo en Estados Unidos, seg\u00fan datos del <strong data-start=\"1007\" data-end=\"1054\">National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)<\/strong>, cada a\u00f1o se atribuyen m\u00e1s de <strong data-start=\"1085\" data-end=\"1105\">40,000 incendios<\/strong> a problemas en el cableado el\u00e9ctrico, lo que causa m\u00e1s de <strong data-start=\"1174\" data-end=\"1206\">350 muertes y 1,400 lesiones<\/strong> anualmente en hogares y comunidades. Por lo tanto, la mayor\u00eda de los pa\u00edses desarrollados han establecido en los a\u00f1os 2010 la <strong data-start=\"1314\" data-end=\"1412\">obligaci\u00f3n de instalar AFCI en la mayor\u00eda de los circuitos hogares y circuitos con unidades de generaci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica acopladas<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1595\" data-end=\"1920\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">En sistemas solares conectados a red, especialmente aquellos que manejan corriente continua (DC), los riesgos por arco son <strong data-start=\"1718\" data-end=\"1733\">a\u00fan mayores<\/strong>. Las longitudes de cable, los conectores de campo, las altas temperaturas, la humedad y el envejecimiento de materiales aumentan el riesgo de que se generen arcos el\u00e9ctricos no deseados.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1922\" data-end=\"2329\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Por eso, <strong data-start=\"1931\" data-end=\"1994\">Chile se suma ahora a las mejores pr\u00e1cticas internacionales<\/strong> con la exigencia de AFCI en todos los <strong data-start=\"2033\" data-end=\"2072\">inversores solares conectados a red<\/strong>, establecida por la <strong data-start=\"2093\" data-end=\"2150\">Superintendencia de Electricidad y Combustibles (SEC)<\/strong> mediante la <strong data-start=\"2163\" data-end=\"2202\">Resoluci\u00f3n Exenta N\u00b0\u202f29.787 de 2024<\/strong>, como parte del marco normativo actualizado que busca proteger personas, instalaciones y bienes frente a este tipo de riesgos.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"wd-negative-gap elementor-section elementor-top-section
